Several plugin data has been corrupted due to host-related issue.
During the past two weeks, Mitecraft has been experiencing multiple unexpected server downtime and service interruption. This has been caused by a host-related issue which is beyond my control.
I have been in touch with our Host’s customer support to resolve this matter and was told that the server might have to be moved to a different node if the problem persists. Due to issue being unpredictable and there was no way to replicate it other than to just wait for it to happen, I had to just settle for that until I could confirm that the issue is resolved.
Yesterday, at 7AM UTC, the server unexpectedly stopped again confirming that the issue still occurs. I have reported this to the host and backed up our server files in case a node-transfer will be done. Although they did not push through with the transfer of the server, the host made considerable changes that’ll supposedly improve the quality and stop our issues. And so far, everything has been running smoothly as I type this.
However, after restarting the server, I have received a report from on of our constant regulars (Darthmattie), that his in-game cash balance and playtime has been reset. Upon investigating I found out that everyone’s playtime as well as the vote counts have been reset. Everyone’s balances remained the same and only Darthmattie’s has been reported to have been changed.
Fortunately, we have a backup record of all player votes, playtime and balances. But, I would have to manually modify/update it as everyone’s login data has been wiped out. This means you have no records of logging into the server (if you havent logged in) after the data corruption so you will have to login once for me to manually restore your info.
HOW TO GET YOUR INFO BACK:
- Log into the server
- Verify that you in-game money balance did not change since your last login.
- Check if you have access/can teleport to your home(s).
- Check your votes through the /sv votes command.
- Contact Mites to have your data restored.
If I am not online in the server, may contact me through email (using the site contact form), Skype, Facebook, Twitter, and even via the in-game mail system(/mail send Mites <your message>). Please be patient if you have already contacted me me as I am not always available. Your data will be restored within 12-24 hours. If it has been over the specified time and your info still hasn’t been restored, please email me.
